Nine years ago my mother was running errands in Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood. She walked down 22nd Place, where Chinatown Hotel is located, and an object brushed up against her back and crashed onto the ground.
Who knew that walking a second faster or slower can ultimately determine your fate? It does not matter how loving and selfless of a person you are, whether you are religiously affiliated, etc. you can be a victim. Cherish every single moment with your loved ones, and make sure to say and show you love them every day. Check out this video to learn how I coped with this experience and what happened to my mother.
